A clear brief is the first step towards a well-planned order. Here’s how to discuss your clothing collection, uniforms or custom garments with Kintela’s manufacturing team in Abuja.
Each project has its own materials, quantities and finishing requirements. Use these steps to understand what needs to be discussed and agreed along the way.
01
Share your garment brief
Tell us what you need made and who it is for. Include your estimated quantity, sizes, delivery city and preferred date. A sketch, reference photograph, existing garment or specification sheet helps explain the design. If some details are undecided, say so: we can start the conversation with what you have.
Your next step: send the brief checklist below.
02
Work through the quotation
We review the garment, fabric, construction, branding and quantity with you. These details shape the price and production plan. Ask for the quotation to identify what is included, any separate sampling or delivery charges, payment stages and its validity period. Changes to the specification can change the quotation.
Before accepting: check the specification and total scope.
03
Agree the sample and specification
Discuss whether your order needs a sample and what it should demonstrate: fit, measurements, fabric, colour or finishing. Agree the sample fee, revisions and approval process before sample work begins. If a sample charge can be credited against bulk production, have that arrangement confirmed in the quotation.
Before bulk production: agree the reference and any changes.
04
Confirm payment and production
Agree the payment schedule and any deposit required for your order. Confirm the final quantities, size breakdown, materials and approved specification together with the production schedule. Fabric sourcing, sampling and manufacturing each take time; tell us about an event or launch deadline at the start so it can be considered.
Before the start: confirm the brief, payment terms and schedule.
05
Arrange the balance and dispatch
Confirm any balance due under your agreed terms, the delivery address and the handover arrangements. Discuss freight charges, packing and the delivery contact before dispatch. For orders needed in stages or at several locations, raise those requirements when requesting the quotation so availability and costs can be discussed.
Before dispatch: agree the payment and delivery arrangements.

04 / COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you begin.
What is the minimum order quantity?+
Minimum quantities depend on the garment, fabric and specification. Send your estimated pieces and the number of designs or colours. We will discuss what is practical for that brief; there is no single published minimum covering every product.
How long will my order take?+
Timing depends on material availability, sampling, approval and the production work involved. Share your target date when you enquire and agree the schedule before committing. Allow for transport time as well as manufacturing.
Do I need a finished design or tech pack?+
A detailed specification is helpful, but you can start with reference images, a sketch or an existing garment. Tell us which details you have decided and which still need discussion. Clear measurements and references help avoid misunderstandings.
Are samples free or credited against the order?+
Sample costs and any credit against a bulk order must be agreed for your project. Ask for both to be stated in the quotation, along with any revision charges. Do not assume a sample is free or automatically refundable.
Can I order without visiting the factory?+
You can make an initial enquiry online, by email or on WhatsApp. Share your brief and discuss the next steps with the team. If you would like to visit our Maitama, Abuja factory, please arrange an appointment first.
